British Holidaymaker Contracts Cryptosporidium at Long Beach Hotel, Turkey

What is Cryptosporidium and How is it Contracted?

The infection can lead to symptoms such as diarrhoea, stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, and fever, sometimes lasting for several weeks.
Public health experts emphasise that hotel swimming pools, buffet foods, and inadequate hygiene standards are among the most common sources of exposure for holidaymakers abroad.
