Appeal for Holidaymakers Affected by Illness at A.Q.I. Splashworld Venus Beach, Tunisia

At Holiday Claims Bureau, we are appealing for anyone who may have suffered gastric illness during recent stays at A.Q.I. Splashworld Venus Beach, Tunisia, to come forward. Several holidaymakers we represent have already received confirmation of Salmonella and Cryptosporidium infections following their stays at the resort.

Families We Are Representing

We are acting on behalf of Nicole Thirkill, James Barker, and their young son Freddie Barker, who travelled between 25 August 2025 and 5 September 2025. The medical tests carried out have confirmed Nicole has tested positive for both Salmonella and Cryptosporidium.

Nicole told us: “What should have been a special family holiday turned into a nightmare. We all suffered with sickness and stomach cramps, and it’s been particularly distressing seeing Freddie so unwell. We want to make sure other families don’t go through the same experience.”

Further Reports of Illness

We are also representing Jamie Butler-Booth, who stayed at the resort between 8 September 2025 and 17 September 2025. The tests Jamie underwent confirmed he contracted Cryptosporidium.

Jamie explained: “I expected to come home with happy memories, not weeks of illness. The impact has been huge, and I know there must be others out there who have been affected in the same way.”

Our Position

Mr Linton, representing clients affected at A.Q.I. Splashworld Venus Beach who is leading the investigation, said: “We are concerned by the growing number of reports of illness linked to this resort. Both Salmonella and Cryptosporidium are serious pathogens that can cause long-term health issues, particularly in children.

We urge anyone who was unwell after staying at A.Q.I. Splashworld Venus Beach to come forward, as their testimony could strengthen ongoing investigations and help secure justice for those affected.”

Supporting Your Claim

If you have been affected, we recommend you:

Seek medical attention and request stool sample testing if symptoms persist.

Keep detailed records of your illness, including dates, symptoms, and medical consultations.

Retain booking details and receipts, as these can support your claim.
