Couple Awarded £4,600 After Bed Bug Infestation on Spanish Holiday

The couple had booked an 11-night stay at the Origo Mare resort through Jet2 Holidays. On arrival, Julie noticed bed bugs crawling out of the headboard and visible staining on the bedding. Despite reporting the issue to the hotel staff and the tour rep, the situation was not resolved, and both Julie and Stephen continued to suffer painful bites across their arms, legs, and shoulders.

The ordeal didn’t end when the holiday did. After returning home, they discovered the infestation extended into their home, leading to further discomfort, stress, and the cost of pest control treatment.
