A Holiday That Went From Bad to Worse
The Bakers subsequently extended their holiday by a week to compensate for the lost time while Anthony was in the hospital. Yet, their ordeal was far from over. At the neighbouring Jaz Makadi Saraya Hotel, Anthony and his 14 year-old nephew, Corbin, fell seriously ill with a severe gastric illness. Anthony experienced stomach cramps and severe diarrhoea, requiring hospitalisation for six days.
Upon returning to the UK, Anthony’s health took a turn for the worse. He collapsed at his home in Dorchester, Dorset, and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Doctors discovered stomach inflammation and internal bleeding, necessitating blood transfusions and antibiotics.
