Celebrating a milestone year at Holiday Claims Bureau

As the year draws to a close, the Holiday Claims Bureau would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our clients and staff for the many accomplishments achieved in the past year. We are grateful for the trust placed in us and proud of the work done together to make this a successful year.

Despite the global difficulties that have persisted in 2022, this has been a landmark year for our organisation. Our no-win, no-fee ethos ensures that we provide a high-quality and reliable service to all of our clients. Holiday Claims Bureau is looking forward to another year of making waves.

This year, we successfully secured a generous claim pay out for a client who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Ibiza. The story ended up making national news across the United Kingdom. It featured in publications such as Manchester Evening News and the Hull Daily Mail.

A major success for Holiday Claims Bureau

22-year-old university student Khaled Muwahed was involved in a serious rented motorcycle accident while on vacation in Ibiza with a friend in 2018. This resulted in a fractured nose, broken wrist, and damaged elbow, as well as other injuries. Muwahed required prompt medical attention and underwent surgery on his nose and another procedure on his left elbow.

Muwahed promptly got in touch with the Holiday Claims Bureau to take action on his behalf following the incident. The Head of Travel Litigation and Partner at Holiday Claims Bureau, Michael Walker, assumed responsibility for the case.

Once he returned home to Manchester in the United Kingdom, Khaled discovered he required further medical attention. He continued to experience difficulty breathing as a consequence of his nose fracture. After an interim payment of over £12,000 for further surgery, with the assistance of the Holiday Claims Bureau, the parties were able to agree on a final settlement of £58,000.

Upon his return to the UK, Khaled found that further medical care was necessary. In spite of the nose fracture, he had difficulty breathing and subsequently needed to pay an interim fee of £12,000 for additional surgery. Fortunately, the Holiday Claims Bureau was able to provide aid in this matter. A final settlement of £58,000 was negotiated and awarded to Mr Muwahed.

The intricate nature of this international case, compounded by the Brexit process already in motion at the time, necessitated a prompt initiation of court proceedings in England to avert any possible jurisdictional obstacles.

The Holiday Claims Bureau drew upon their substantial expertise and international network to enlist the assistance of a Spanish lawyer and effectively address the matters of legal responsibility and the claim’s worth.

Another trip around the sun

As 2022 draws to a close and we welcome the New Year, Holiday Claims Bureau would like to reiterate our commitment to helping our clients secure the appropriate compensation for illness or injury sustained on holiday.

The Holiday Claims Bureau remains vigilant in tracking the spread of illnesses at vacation spots, and advising potential customers on the process for submitting a claim for illness or injury incurred during their holiday.

The Holiday Claims Bureau are in the process of seeking compensation for travellers who became unwell during their stays in Cape Verde hotels in 2022. We have received numerous claims relating to Shigella, Salmonella and E.coli illnesses.

The Holiday Claims Bureau would like to express our sincere appreciation for our clients’ ongoing confidence in our services. This year has presented numerous difficulties for many, and we are privileged to have offered our assistance for travellers’ holiday claims and disputes.
