£1000 Compensation Settlement Agreed Over Bed Bug Scandal

Our client, Andrew Bennett booked a stay at the Premier Inn Oxford Cowley in November 2021. On arrival at the hotel, the room was unsatisfactory in terms of cleanliness and hygiene, so Mr Bennett and his wife moved rooms. Little did our client know, the room he was moved to was even worse. During the first night, Mr Bennett and his wife suffered multiple bites to their head, neck and legs. When they looked at the bed, they saw bed bugs crawling in the bed and blood marks on the under sheet.

With the bed frame infested with insects, Mr Bennett was able to take photographs showing the bed bugs in the bed. He immediately reported it to staff at the hotel and then left the premises before the end of their stay.
